Keep it with you
- On: the screen lights up when you press the button. Keep it switched on.
- Outside of your pack if you can (the top pocket), so it can see the sky and reach the others.
- Charged the night before.
If it beeps or buzzes
Someone in my group sent me a message, or is looking for me. Press the button to stop it and read the screen.
Answering
Use the joystick/button to pick a reply and send it:

| I'm lost | I don't know where I am: stay put |
| Help | I need help now: stay put |
If you're lost
- Stop and stay where you are. It's easier for us to find you.
- Send I'm lost or Help. Our phones will alarm and show us where you are.
- If the screen shows Rally, that's where to go, with how far it is.
