TopoKin
Use TopoKin with Claude
Connect Claude (on your phone or computer) to your TopoKin group, then ask it things in plain words:
- "What's new in my TopoKin group?" or "Did anyone ask about water?"
- "Find springs within 3 miles of Barton Meadow and share the closest two."
- "Share these campsites from this list with my group, in a folder called Summer trip."
- "Draw the area we'll search tomorrow: from the trailhead north to the ridge."
- "Tell everyone we're meeting at the truck at 4."
It uses your own Claude account. There's nothing to install and no API key.
Connect it (once)
You need to be the group's owner or an admin.
- In TopoKin: Group › Add AI helper (Claude). You get a short AI code (it works once, for 15 minutes).
- In Claude: Settings › Connectors, find TopoKin in the directory (or open its listing), and tap Connect.
- On the TopoKin page that opens, type the AI code and tap Allow.
- 🤖 AI helper joins your group, and everyone sees it.
Then, in any Claude chat, make sure TopoKin is switched on (the + or tools button by the message box) and ask. The first time it uses TopoKin, Claude may ask you to allow it.
Not finding it? Add it by address instead: Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector, name TopoKin,
address https://mcp.topokin.app/mcp, then Connect.
What it can and can't do

Stop it
Remove 🤖 AI helper under Group › People in TopoKin. It leaves the group and forgets everything right away; you can also remove the TopoKin connector in Claude. To use it again, add it with a new AI code.
Privacy
Adding the helper gives it your group's key so it can read messages, places and drawings (stored encrypted on the TopoKin relay); it never receives positions. When you ask Claude something, what it reads is sent to Anthropic under your Claude account. Details: Privacy policy.
ChatGPT
The same connector works in ChatGPT workspaces that allow custom connectors (Business and Enterprise). For everyone else, we're working on listing TopoKin in ChatGPT's app directory.
